In today's session, we presented our professional articles to the class. I really enjoyed hearing everyone's articles and how they would either apply it and their personal reaction to the article. The presentations have really given me a lot to think about, most especially the strategies on what we can utilize in the classroom, such as technology (ipads, ebooks, etc) and developing open-mided students by providing critical thinking and open-ended questions for books and other reading material.
I am so excited to try out these new ideas especially the ones with technology. As we know that there is always something new to share.
ReplyDeleteI, too, thought that the articles were interesting, as well as informative. Exploring and analyzing research articles is something we, as teachers, need to be doing frequently. It will help us stay current on strategies and issues that impact education.
ReplyDeleteHey Kelsey, I agree with you. The presentations did give me a lot to think about as well. We as teachers need to be creative and find new ways to get our students excited to read so it will help them as they move on to the next grade.
ReplyDeleteI liked how they mentioned using open ended questions. I think its very important to incorporate higher order thinking skills. The kids today are much more advanced than during our time.
