Today we went over the rest of the teaching aids and there were more great ideas that were shared. I loved Kelsey, Angela, Amanda, and Evin's ideas. The reading block is such a universal tool and I am happy Amanda was able to share it. The text tracker and the family cards are also a great way to assist the children we will be working with. I love BINGO so I would really keep Evin's game in mind when introducing new words in my classroom. I love the puzzle of suffix and prefix and how we can change up the ideas when making the tool.
Rachel shared her microteaching game she in her 5th grade class. It was very interesting and fun. I am excited to try it out in my classroom. I am sure the students had a blast. Great job!
Good luck with your practicum Rhea, hopefully during your lesson your students will have fun and learn something new.
ReplyDeleteThank you Rhea! I loved that I had the chance to teach 5th grade for the first time. It was definitely a challenge, but because I am a mother of four, I felt that I was able to connect with them. Good luck with your practicum!
